I came to Hawaii from the island of Cebu, Philippines in 1993 to attend BYU-Hawaii campus where I acquired my BA in Psychology. My strong desire to learn and get educated helped me earn excellent school ratings, academic scholarships with the prestigious Cebu City National Science High School and San Carlos University, and passed the Philippines National College Entrance College Examination with the highest percentile rank possible. Before departing to Hawaii to to enhance my education, I dedicated two years serving a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. While at BYU, I had the opportunity to travel all the Hawaiian islands as a member of an elite group of 12 members promoting BYU through songs and dances. I was actively involved with operas and theater shows. I was an active member of cultural clubs and served as Vice-President of BYUH Filipino Club. I spent the last 8 years in the field of real estate. I was introduced to property management as resident manager for a state-owned elderly housing in 1997 and held various position such as Property Manager, Area manager, and Principal Broker.
